As we continue to grow, were looking for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our Health & Safety department. What Youll Do Support and promote a strong company-wide safety culture Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and programs Conduct regular site inspections and safety evaluations, documenting findings and corrective actions Assist with sitespecific safety plans such as Fall Protection, Emergency Response, and Hazard Assessments Partner with project management to ensure consistent onsite safety practices Monitor subcontractor compliance with company safety standards Manage workplace incidents and WCB claims, including modified work programs Identify and address safety risks and trends to reduce incidents Maintain COR certification and support internal audits Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) meetings and follow up on action items Deliver inhouse safety training, including orientations and Working at Heights Record and analyze incidents, accidents, and safety statistics for continuous improvement Advise on regulations, occupational health, hazardous materials, and clientspecific safety requirements Maintain employee clearances and thirdparty safety accreditations Perform other duties as required What You Bring to the Team 35 years of experience as a Health and Safety Coordinator in the construction industry; experience in roofing, waterproofing, cladding, and glazing is considered an asset Working knowledge of Fall protection, boom lift, swing stage and chemical use is considered an asset NCSO designation or working toward obtaining designation Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Nuance Working knowledge of SiteDocs safety management program Strong working knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations, as well as other federal, provincial, and local legislation governing health and safety compliance Indepth understanding of the Certificate of Recognition (COR) program; COR Internal Auditor certification is required Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to active construction sites Why Join Bothwell-Accurate?
