What You'll Do Ensure that all product is packaged according to the specific packaging instructions. Inspect material for any potential defects and report any quality concerns to the packaging team leader. Ensure material is packed in order of priority according to the ship dates indicated on the work order. Ensure hardness is checked and documented per order. Confirm that weights and piece counts of each order are correct. Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records. Print tickets/labels for bundles using Epics. Comply with all quality related policies, procedures, and system requirements. Use hand tools such as staple guns or nail guns for the purpose of making skids. Assist in providing training and support to new workers. Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times. Responsible for following the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company policies. What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years experience in a warehousing or packaging role. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset. Skills Required Must be able to read and write in English. Able to work at a quick pace with strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational, timemanagement and multitasking skills. Team player that is able to work with little to no supervision. Knowledge of health and safety best practices in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience in extrusion or a similar manufacturing environment is an asset. Working Conditions Plant environment. Twelvehour rotating continental shift. Exposure to loud noise and heat. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. Overtime as needed.
