For generations, guests have indulged in Hotel Georgias charming ambience, remarkable service and landmark location.The Impact of This RoleAs Beverage Manager you will develop, curate, and maintain comprehensive beverage programs across all hotel outlets including restaurants, lounges, banquets and in-room dining. You will also support the teams both in bar and service to increase sales by being visible in the operation.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, curate, and maintain comprehensive beverage programs across all hotel outlets including restaurants, lounges, and in-room diningCreate and execute wine lists, spirits selections, craft cocktail menus, and non alcoholic beverage offerings that align with brand standards and guest preferencesStay current with industry trends and continuously innovate beverage offerings to enhance guest experience and revenue generationPrepare reports on beverage sales, costs, inventory, and variance analysis; analyze performance metrics and recommend improvementsWork collaboratively with Finance and Front-of-House teams on budget forecastingRecruit, hire, train, and supervise beverage staff including bartenders, servers, and barbacksConduct ongoing training programs focused on product knowledge, mixology, service standards, and upselling techniquesMaintain high performance standards and handle disciplinary matters according to Rosewood standards and progressive discipline policiesFoster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team cultureManage beverage inventory, ordering, receiving, and stock rotation to ensure freshness and minimize wasteMonitor par levels and implement inventory management systemsEnsure accurate billing of beverage charges and mini-bar consumptionMaintain bar cleanliness, proper mise en place, and adherence to hotel standardsManage beverage cost percentages and work toward profitability targetsEnsure all beverage service meets Rosewood Hotel Georgia specifications and luxury hospitality standardsProvide exceptional service to guests, handle special requests, and resolve any service issuesBe familiar with all hotel services, local attractions, and amenities to enhance guest conversationsEnsure knowledge of proper glassware, garnishes, and presentation techniques for all beveragesEnsure compliance with BC Liquor and Cannabis Regulation and all relevant food safety lawsMaintain Serving It Right Certification and ensure staff complianceImplement and enforce health and safety protocolsConduct regular audits of outlets to ensure adherence to standardsMonitor beverage costs and pricing strategies to achieve targeted profit marginsOther duties as assigned.Critical Skills & QualificationsMinimum 2 years of beverage management experience in a luxury or upscale hospitality environmentDemonstrated experience managing bar operations, staff, and beverage programsStrong knowledge of wines, spirits, craft cocktails, and non-alcoholic beveragesExperience with wine and beverage purchasing and cost managementPrevious supervisory or management experience requiredProficiency with POS systems (Micros or similar)Knowledge of beverage cost accounting and inventory management systemsComfort with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)Familiarity with BC Liquor regulations and compliance requirementsOther InformationMust be legally eligible to work in Canada.
