Join to apply for the Project Coordinator Co-op (12 Months) role at Aecon Group Inc. As part of an alliance agreement, Aecon has been awarded a contract in an Aecon-led partnership with Kiewit Nuclear Canada by Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for the execution phase on the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP) in Clarington, Ontario. Beginning in 2025 Aecon will support the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site. What is the Opportunity? The Project Coordinator Co-op will report to the Project Manager and will be responsible for planning all critical material movements. This role will require continuous communication with all project team members and will be responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvements of material handling methods. What You'll Do Here Assist in the development and maintenance of Comprehensive Work Package in cooperation with construction and engineering. Provide and ensure effectiveness of the liaison function between field trades and design engineers for problem resolution and information flow. Provide status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management. Establish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, subcontractors and suppliers supporting the project. Coordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, as-built drawings, turnover documents, etc. Coordinate activities relating to technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems. Active involvement in quality assurance with regards to understanding and implementing policies and procedures. Ensure construction activities follow approved policies, standards, and procedures. Monitor project schedule, budget, and quality standards. Develop material handling plans using 3D modeling tools. What You Bring To The Team Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering Degree is preferred. Minimum GPA of 3.0. Proficient written (report writing) communication skills. Knowledge of SharePoint applications an asset. Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills. Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team. Thrive on a fast-paced environment. Night shifts may be required.
