Position Summary: Bring your expertise as a seasoned inspector or engineer to a role where your experience in leading audits and solving technical challenges truly matters. In this dynamic, high-impact position, you''ll influence certification decisions that uphold industry safety and compliance standards. As the Quality Assessment Specialist, you''ll conduct audits, navigate complex technical issues, and exercise authority to recommend issuing, renewing, or rescinding Certificates of Authorization (CoA)making a tangible difference in public safety and organizational integrity. Duties & Responsibilities: Lead Audits & Surveys:Develop audit plans, coordinate schedules with internal teams and certificate holders, and execute audits for CoA issuance and renewal in compliance with ASME, CSA and NB codes and standards. Guide the Team:Direct audit/survey teams (QA Lead, Regional Supervisor, Inspectors), assign responsibilities, and provide technical guidance throughout the process. Analyze & Report:Prepare detailed audit and survey reports that support transparent, informed certification decisions. Ensure Compliance:Follow up on deficiencies, review corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution to maintain regulatory standards. Validate Scope Changes: Conduct mid-cycle assessments for new scope additions, safeguarding operational integrity. Deliver Training:Organize and deliver technical training seminars, including logistics (travel, accommodations, host facilities), and develop new training materials when needed. Shape Industry Standards:Monitor evolving codes and regulations, develop alternate rules within current frameworks (e.g., piping inspection), and create training for industry implementation. Collaborate on Projects:Contribute to related duties and special projects that keep our programs innovative and effective. Travel Requirement:Approximately 25-40%, including overnight stays and occasional travel outside Ontario. Job Qualifications: Certifications TSSA Certificate of Competency (requires minimum high school education) National Board Commission (In-Service and Authorized Inspector) with R and B endorsements, N endorsement required and NS is preferred for Nuclear surveys Preferred:Lead Auditor training and P.Eng designation Other Essentials: Strong technical acumen and ability to address complex compliance issues Valid Class G driver''s license for client site visits Hiring Range Details: The hiring range for this role is 79,158 98,948. The annual salary may vary within this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate''s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
