A Day in the Life Reporting to the Manager, Facilities & Business Support Services, the Hospitality Services Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and hospitable environment for both internal and external clients. The primary responsibilities include maintaining the client/coffee service area, preparing boardrooms for meetings, managing inventory, and adhering to Health and Safety protocols. This position demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role is 100% on site Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3 p.m. Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Boardroom preparation: Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of meeting rooms, including arranging furniture, cleaning tables and counters, and organizing supplies. Set up catering, beverage service, dishes, glassware, cutlery etc. Keep boardrooms fully stocked with coffee and supplies. Kitchen and coffee station maintenance: Maintain organization and replenish kitchen supplies, including a variety of items for beverages and other essentials. Keep inventory lists up to date and order supplies as needed. Inventory Management: Keep accurate inventory lists of consumables. Support the Hospitality Coordinator with ordering consumables including, alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, fruit etc. as required. General Office Tidiness: Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the hospitality kitchen and common areas outside the meeting space on the 29th floor. Adhere to health and safety protocols, including regular disinfection of high-touch areas. Required Skills and Experience 2 years of previous related hospitality, banquet, or hotel experience. Serving It Right and FoodSafe certifications are preferred. Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 lbs. Understanding of inventory management principles. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to respond effectively to diverse needs and requests. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to listen effectively and communicate information clearly. Superior organizational skills with great attention to detail. Ability to multitask and establish priorities efficiently. Compensation Thetypical salary range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity.
