POSITION TITLE: Food & Beverage Representative REPORTS TO: Food & Beverage Supervisor REVISION DATE: August 2025 WAGE BAND: $16.50/hour STATUS: Temporary Seasonal Full Time/Part Time Position Summary Reporting to the Food, Beverage Supervisor the Food and Beverage Representative will work both prepping and serving food and drinks in the Pass Powderkeg Kitchen in a safe and appropriate manner while upholding food safety and legislative standards and sanitary conditions. The Food and Beverage Representative will be an effective communicator in all situations whose contributions will assist in providing an excellent guest experience. Key Duties and Responsibilities Provide exceptional guest services Ensure proper storage of food, condiments and supply items in accordance with established guidelines and requirements to ensure quality and food safety is maintained. Monitor kitchen and cafeteria areas to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations and Food Premises Regulation. Report equipment malfunctions and/or required maintenance to the Supervisor Prepare, cook and serve food and beverage items. Clean the lodge and ensure that it is maintained in a sanitary condition. Sanitize kitchen equipment as required by established Food Safety Practices. Operate cash register; receive and process payments from customers and issue receipts and change due to customers. Count money in cash drawers and ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change at the beginning of every shift. Perform reconciliation of cash to end-of-day report and prepare corresponding deposit. Attend and participate in scheduled meetings (departmental or other) and training sessions. Ensure compliance with and perform all duties in accordance with Provincial Legislation and related regulations as well as Pass Powderkeg policies, procedures and guidelines, established operational work plans; and directives provided by supervisor or designate. Maintain required records, reports and documentation necessary as part of the due diligence process. Other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Abilities and Skills Must have an above-average customer service focus, enjoy working with people and assisting guests. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously Knowledge of Food Safety practices. Knowledge of AGLC regulations and Responsible service practices. Ability to complete various forms and other basic written communications. Ability to receive and comprehend instructions; work in a team environment; interact positively with supervisors, other staff, and the general public; as well as support and project values compatible with the organization. Required Education and Experience Administrative or sales related experience with cash management balancing requirements. Proven leadership experience. Pro-Serve certified Alberta Approved Food-Safe certified, as per Section 31 of Food Regulation The following are an asset: Current first aid certification with CPR, and AED. Post-secondary education in ski area management, tourism, business, communications or other related field. Working Conditions The work is performed mainly indoors with some on snow work expected. Indoor work is typically performed in a kitchen or lodge environment involving periods of standing, sitting, good lighting and moderate noise.
