Advance Furniture Distribution provides delivery and service to customers of the Atrium Furniture Centre - Atlantic Canada''s leading furniture and home decor destination. We are currently looking for a Furniture Repair Technician to join our warehouse team. Primary Duties: Assessing damages and choosing the appropriate method of repair; Performing wood color matching & blending; Performing wood repairs including burn-ins & wood graining; Application of techniques such as: use of fillers, burn-ins, color matching, structural repairs, and installation of replacement parts; Working with Service Coordinator to order parts and ensure credits are applied. Warehouse duties as required - packing and unpacking furniture, furniture assembly, loading items onto trucks; wrapping and padding furniture. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; Previous experience in furniture repair, cabinetry or millwork A trade or some technical or vocational training is an asset. Required Knowledge and Skills: Excellent attention to detail; Knowledge in finished wood, veneers and press-board; Ability to adapt quickly to change; Ability to build respectful and effective working relationships - a team player; Reliable; Strong customer service skills.
