Overview We are a Winnipeg based automotive group seeing a hands-on IT Administrator to manage and support all aspects of our IT environment. This role is ideal for a technically strong, self-directed profressional who enjoys working directly with servers, networks and end users in a medium-sized, multi-location business. Key Responsibilities Systems & Infrastructure Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and operating systems Manage on-premise and cloud-based environments Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades Support dealership systems and third-party business applications Assist with IT projects, upgrades and new location deployments Network & Security Maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls) Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, including antivirus, MFA, and access controls Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies Respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities User Support & Helpdesk Provide Tier 13 technical support to users Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues Maintain IT documentation, procedures, and asset inventory Train users on systems, security best practices, and tools Data Protection & Recovery Manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans Ensure data integrity and secure storage Test backup and recovery processes regularly Vendor & Project Management Work with external IT vendors, service providers, and consultants when required Assist with IT projects such as system migrations and upgrades Recommend hardware, software, and technology improvements Compliance & Policy Ensure IT systems comply with company policies and regulatory requirements Develop and enforce IT policies and standards, Maintain documentation, asset inventory and standard procedures Qualifications Required Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems Experience with networking fundamentals, backup, disaster recovery and cybersecurity best practices Preferred Experience with cloud platforms Knowledge of virtualization IT certifications (Network+, Security+, Microsoft) Experience in automotive, retail or multi-location organizations Skills & Competencies Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Attention to detail and time management Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong documentation and organizational skills Work Environment Office environment May require after-hours or on-call support Occasional lifting of IT equipment (up to 50 lbs) Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: Company events Company pension Dental care Disability insurance Employee assistance program Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Paid time off RRSP match Store discount Vision care Work Location: In person
