Responsibilities: Manage existing client relationships. Prioritize regular facetoface visits. Focus on retaining and growing client portfolios in Calgary and across Canada. Develop and nurture deep and strong relationships with client organizations, addressing their needs, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Develop an exceptional understanding of, and stay current on, the S&P Global Commodity Insights products and functionality and their application to specific clients and job functions. Produce accurate sales forecasting and keep an uptodate pipeline, contacts and meeting notes in SalesForce CRM system. Contribute to the business strategy through a deep understanding of industry requirements, market trends and client requirements. Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge to have meaningful conversations with clients and prospects. Work within a sales team collaborating with sales specialists and relationship specialists to proactively address customer requirements. What Were Looking For: University degree with at least 3+ years experience in business development or sales roles managing complex accounts in an international environment. Consultative sales and negotiation skills, possess high integrity and proficiency to all phases of the selling cycle from need creation, proposal preparation, negotiation and deal closure. Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills, being able to build valuable and impactful business relationships internally and externally. Passion and dedication for the commodities and energy world. Staying on top of global and regional macro and micro environmental trends. Strong planning and organization skills, able to prioritize.
