OverviewThe Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) is hiring a Summer Student Customer Service Representative. In this role youll engage in meaningful projects, gain hands-on experience, and develop skills that support customers and stakeholders related to claims, health care benefits, and WSIB services. The position offers training and development opportunities and values diversity, inclusion, and equity. Assess caller needs and take appropriate actions to resolve inquiries, aiming for first-contact resolution or guiding the caller to further solutions.Identify and take immediate or appropriate actions for callers in crisis, escalations, media calls, security files, privacy breaches, or changes in government legislation that require special handling.Provide written responses to inquiries received via online services and offer user support for online platforms.Proactively collect information from workplace parties regarding their claim to assist internal partners in decision-making.Access WSIB computer systems to provide claim information, document actions, generate letters and forms, and update profile information as required.Perform other duties as assigned, while delivering empathetic and accurate customer service.QualificationsLegally authorized to work in Ontario, Canada, full time (36.25 hours/week).Currently enrolled as a full-time post-secondary student in September 2026.Applicants may also apply if returning to studies in the next academic term or have completed graduation within the last six months.Final-year students must provide proof of enrollment for their last semester.Available to work the entire summer duration (May 4, 2026 September 4, 2026) with no planned absences.If advancing in the recruitment process, provide proof of eligibility to work in Canada.One year and five months of prior customer service experience.Application MaterialsResume and cover letter in a single MS Word or PDF document.Copy of your most recent GPA transcript.First-year students may submit a letter of enrollment if an official transcript is not available.Proof of enrollment for the September 2025 and/or September 2026 school year.Final-year students must provide proof of enrollment for their last semester.TimelineApplications Open: November 19, 2025 January 14, 2026.
