Volunteer Recovery Practitioner, Via Join the opportunity to support the delivery of a wide range of substance use and recovery interventions. Responsibilities Advising people who come to i-access about drug awareness, overdose prevention, safer injecting, safer sex practices and other harm minimisation advice. Supporting practitioners in the completion of assessments and followup assessments (initial assessments are not required). Assisting practitioners with a caseload of people, including onetoone sessions and cofacilitating groups. Assisting people to access wider services, including completing referrals to onward agencies. Participating in team meetings and performing other tasks deemed necessary to support the service needs. Qualifications & Skills Enthusiasm for the drug and alcohol field; some sector knowledge desirable. Positive attitude, desire to learn and a supportive, nonjudgemental approach to people with substance use problems. Strong communication and organisational skills.
