Join to apply for the Instructor Therapist (Entry to School) role at Kinark Child and Family Services We are looking for Instructor Therapists to join our expanding team. The Entry to School (ETS) service will aim to support families with children ages 3 to 5 who are entering school for the first time. Children enrolled in ETS will receive sixmonths of group programming focusing on building skills prior to their entry to school followed by sixmonths of transition supports and individualized consultation. As an ETS service provider, Kinark will deliver ETS as part of the York Simcoe Autism Network (YSAN). This is a temporary fulltime position with a contract length of 1 year. Salary for this position is starting at $27.31 per hour. The Instructor Therapist will be responsible for providing Applied Behaviour Analytic services to children and youth with autism and their families under the supervision of a BoardCertified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). In this position, you will provide groupbased services preparing children for firsttime entry to school. This role may include supporting Kinarks Feeforservice and / or Foundational Family Services. You may be scheduled to work evenings, weekends, split shifts, or shorter shifts of less than 7 hours per day. You will be required to work out of other Kinark sites from time to time based on operational needs. As well, you may be assigned to work in different programs and services within the Autism division of Kinark and your primary work location may be reassigned within a 50 kilometer radius based on operational needs. Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to) Deliver direct service to students. Implement skill acquisition and group programming. Liaise with parents. Prepare teaching materials. Monitor the student progress. Assist with the implementation of behavioural assessment procedures. Participate in treatment planning, program writing, and report writing. Qualifications Community college diploma or a University degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, autism and behaviour science, early childhood education, child and youth worker). Experience in the field delivering intensive behavioural intervention programs or early childhood education would be an asset and will be given special consideration. Travel in the York and/or Simcoe area is required for this position; the successful candidate must have a valid Ontario drivers license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars. Candidates bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration. Some evening / weekend work may be required. Consideration will also be given to candidates currently completing a college diploma or a University degree.
