About The RoleThe Laboratory Technician supports material testing and quality control by preparing, analyzing, and evaluating binder samples in a laboratory setting. The role involves maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring tests are conducted in accordance with industry specifications and standards, and accurately documenting results to support product compliance and performance.What Youll AccomplishAssist in testing of asphalt products to service our customers needs (BBR, PAV, RTFO, DSR, pen and viscosity)Responsible for testing and evaluating and preparing the above noted testsMaintain familiarity with MSDS specs and emergency responsesAssist in AASHTO/AMRL round robin testingMaintain quality as per specification requirementsIdentify and report workplace hazards and make positive suggestions for their elimination or controlComplete recommended routine maintenance and calibrations on the lab equipmentResponsible for updating and maintaining all equipment maintenance and calibration recordsDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
