Your New Role As the Building Operator for this brand-new landmark commercial complex, you will be responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of critical building systems. Reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager, your role will directly impact tenant comfort, energy efficiency, and the long-term performance of the asset. Responsibilities Respond to tenant service requests. Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and life safety systems. Operate equipment through the building automation system (BAS) and ensure mechanical rooms remain safe and organized. Conduct chemical treatment tests, inspect equipment, and complete daily rounds/logs. Support emergency response protocols and liaise with contractors. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with full health and safety regulations. What Sets You Apart 35 years of handson experience operating and maintaining commercial building systems. BES diploma, 3rd or 4th Class Operating Engineer certificate, or Ontario trades certification. Comfortable working with BAS and reading meters and diagnostic tools. Basic mechanical repairs ability. Strong problemsolving skills, effective communication, and pride in maintaining safe, clean, and efficient workspaces. Independent and teamoriented, eager to learn and provide exceptional service to tenants and colleagues.
