The role is a newly created position; the successful candidate will collaborate with UHNs Safety Services Team and UHN Leadership on a comprehensive workplace violence prevention training and education program.DutiesDeliver, facilitate, refine, develop, and research workplace violence prevention training and education (i.e. TIDES) in formats including classroom and virtual delivery, physical technique demonstrations, simulations, clinical departmental unit settings, and eLearning.Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders and Leadership across UHN.Consult to identify and address program improvements related to workplace violence prevention, training and education.Support and participate in workplace violence incident follow up, including debriefs, to identify and support program improvements.Analyze and assess workplace violence training and education metrics, quality indicators and present to UHN Leadership and external stakeholders.Support communication efforts of the program through written communication, various media, websites, and presentations based on programming and initiatives.QualificationsAt minimum, a university or college graduate in adult education, health science, health promotion, social or behavioural sciences, with at least three (3) years of experience with group facilitation and consultation.At minimum, three (3) years of experience directly supporting clients/patients in an inpatient or outpatient program.Preferred candidate will have three (3) years of experience with Workplace Violence education programs (e.g., PMAB, NCIT, TRIT, TIDES) or similar.Demonstrated experience consulting and building trusted relationships with stakeholders, identifying needs, and delivering solutions across diverse environments.Demonstrated assessment and consultation skills related to environmental factors, organizational policies and procedures to promote safety of staff and clients/patients.Intermediate to expert in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.Strong client service orientation, time management, organization, and communication skills.Ability to produce high quality and accurate work; ability to work well under pressure; good judgment in assessing difficult situations.Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to work in a self-directed manner.Experience with a learning management system is an asset.Additional InformationWhy join UHN?UHN offers a range of benefits, programs and perks.
