You will work primarily on water projects and collaborate with technical and business development teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead strategy, recruitment, and performance of the conveyance team; ensure culture, engagement, and retention.Coordinate and mentor technical staff; provide coaching, training, and professional growth.Resolve team conflicts and promote best practices, tools and knowledge sharing.Drive business development: identify opportunities, build client relationships, develop proposals and pricing strategies.Oversee project execution: scope, quality, budget, schedule, procurement and delivery of waterrelated infrastructure.Implement design and construction best practices, ensuring compliance with local jurisdictional codes and regulatory requirements.Support Stantec IP implementation and innovative technology deployment.People ManagementChampion and sustain a healthy work environment and positive culture.Provide coaching, mentoring and training to build highperforming project teams.Maintain strong relationships, recognize and provide constructive feedback.Proactively address and resolve team issues/conflicts.Handle confidential personnel matters professionally.Facilitate regular discipline meetings and track deliverables.Champion inclusion and diversity initiatives.Business DevelopmentLead strategy to expand the teams portfolio and identify emerging market needs.Build and maintain strong client relationships through engagement and technical conversations.Coordinate proposal development and ensure alignment with technical, commercial and branding standards.Lead clientfacing meetings, presentations and scoping discussions.Develop scopes, cost estimates and levelofeffort documents.Identify integrated project opportunities across business lines.Conduct quality reviews of proposals and client deliverables.Support key account planning and champion account strategies.Represent Stantec at industry events and conferences.Project Execution10+ years conveyance engineering or project management experience.Engage in complex design tasks: grading, drainage, hydraulic modeling, pipe sizing, pump sizing, modeling and site serviceability.Create engineering drawings and reports: plan, profile, PFDs, PIDs, basis of design, technical memorandums and design reports.Lead feasibility studies and stakeholder presentations.Quality review and technical problem resolution.Manage multiple projects, client relationships and new client development.Develop and manage project scope, schedule, budget and contract requirements.Collaborate with disciplinespecific PMs and technical leads to ensure consistency and efficient resource sharing.Capabilities and CredentialsProfessional Engineer designation with APEGS or eligibility for registration.Strong leadership, problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.Experience leading conveyance or water resources design teams.Excellent communication: mentoring, coaching, and professional presentations.Understanding of local and regional jurisdictional codes, design requirements.Asset: knowledge of construction methods (opencut, trenchless) and water/sewer rehabilitation.Education and ExperienceBachelors degree in Civil Engineering (graduate degree an asset).Minimum 10 years related experience; PMP is a plus.Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months.Experience in consulting engineering environment and project leadership.Pay TransparencyPay ranges are provided where required; final compensation depends on qualifications, experience, and location.
