Job Description

The candidate will be an Owner's construction site representative for public infrastructure projects in the Greater Vancouver area, BC. Wonderful opportunity for candidates with site experience in building facilities and civil construction management or seeking site experience and career growth opportunities in project management of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Cultivate strong collaboration and alignment between the contractor and design consultant on site, ensuring issues are addressed proactively and project objectives are met. Oversee daily contractor activities, participate in site inspections, document progress, and maintain accurate daily photos and reports. Manage QA/QC documentation, and track and coordinate resolution of Contractor non-conformances. Track construction schedule progression, monitor schedule adherence, and review performance against the construction schedule to identify risks and variances. Monitor HSE conditions, ensuring safety, environmental, and traffic management requirements are met, and elevate issues when necessary. Maintain weekly communication with the Owner Project Manager and Contractor Superintendents, track RFIs and shop drawings, and verify staging and schedule requirements. Review and interpret drawings and specifications, identify field conflicts, and confirm the Contractor is working from the latest construction documents. Review progress draws and evaluate extra work requests, collaborating with the Owner Project Manager and Contractor. Monitor deficiencies and closeout documentation, supporting occupancy requirements and commissioning activities. Qualifications Engineering degree or technical degree or diploma with construction experience Candidates with previous direct experience on facilities construction sites will be preferred Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are essential Ability to work on multiple tasks and effectively manage time to ensure key project timelines are maintained Demonstrated skills in scheduling software, SharePoint and document management systems will be an asset Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with all Project participants. Must reside in the Greater Vancouver area and be able to commute to site. Remuneration Negotiable hourly rate/benefits. Position can be permanent or contract full time. #J-18808-Ljbffr
