The Opportunity We are looking for several experienced Data Developers to join us as the founding members of our new Data Engineering practice. 1. Unlike our full-stack roles where we provide extensive mentorship and training, this opportunity is for existing data development experts. You wont just be following best practices, youll be defining them for the company, and must share our core value of strong mentorship. 2. Autonomy & Impact: You will be expected to work independently or plug into our existing full-stack teams as the data authority. You must be comfortable navigating ambiguity and operating without an immediate technical safety net. 3. Contracts? Our team works across a broad range of technologies, adapting to the unique needs of each client. We are looking for versatility. Since you will be work with various clients with different infrastructures, we value platform-agnostic engineering and general coding skills over niche tool specialization. Core: Professional mastery of Python and SQL. Modern Tools: Experience with industry-standard, platform-neutral tools is highly valued. This includes Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Spark, Kafka, Terraform, dbt (Data Build Tool), Airflow, and Docker/Kubernetes. Platform Certifications: While we are cloud-neutral, AWS or Azure certifications such as 'AWS Certified Data Analytics' or 'Data Engineering on Azure' are an asset. --- Culture --- If youd prefer to be bored at work and complain about your job, then look elsewhere! We need someone available for incoming data opportunities, helping us execute with new clients and delivering high-quality data solutions. Qualifications: 5 or more years of enterprise-level experience as a Data Developer or Data Engineer. Proven ability to work independently with minimal technical supervision. You must be able to understand new domains, architect, and execute data solutions from scratch. Strong experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipeline design, and performance tuning. A post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field is an asset, but not required.
