Position Description The Freight Forwarding Clerk will coordinate the day-to-day operations being the front line for customer, billing and accounting support, affiliate and vendor communication and coordination. Delivering a high quality service level at all times and able to communicate effectively with executives, fellow employees and management. Position Accountabilities Coordinate and communicate with Vendors/Subcontractors domestically and/or internationally Coordinate and communicate with airlines, airfreight bookings, delivery and collection cut off times Capable to follow up throughout the duration of the shipment/s Coordinate and communicate with the CBSA, must be familiar with high value Diamond, Jewelery Precious metals and Luxury items types of imports and exports Coordinate and communicate with fellow employees relating to collection and/or delivery schedules Capable to create service invoices, check and post vendor invoices in SAP and other accounting system/s Negotiate rates with vendors and subcontractors Follow standard operating procedures Basic safety and security understanding of high valuable cargo being transported by road and air Meet deadlines and work under pressure Adequate at filing Willing to go the extra mile when required Requirements Minimum of 3 years air freight forwarding experience Knowledge on TIB/ATA Carnet/Drawbacks/CITES/F&W Strong communication skills, ability to listen, understand and execute Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint IATA Cargo and DGR certification an advantage Knowledge of AS400 and SAP an advantage Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $50,000.00 per year Benefits: Casual dress Dental care Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Ability to commute/relocate: Etobicoke, ON M8Z 2X2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Licence/Certification: IATA Cargo and DGR certification (preferred) Work Location: In person
