Responsibilities Provide expert hair styling, coloring, and hair extension services using techniques such as balayage, highlights, and color theory principles. Perform specialized treatments including eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application to enhance client beauty routines. Operate salon software systems like MINDBODY for scheduling appointments, managing client records, and processing retail sales efficiently. Maintain high standards of sanitation and sanitation protocols for all tools and work areas to ensure client safety and compliance with health regulations. Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, answering inquiries, and upselling retail products such as hair care items and styling tools. Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair threading, barbering techniques like straight razor shaves, and overall salon best practices. Support store management by contributing to retail sales goals through upselling products like hair treatments, cosmetics, and nail care essentials while demonstrating excellent customer service skills. Experience Proven experience as a hairstylist or barber with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse styling techniques. Knowledge of salon software platforms such as MINDBODY or similar systems for booking and client management. Hands-on experience with hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care services, and makeup application is highly desirable. Familiarity with color theory principles to create customized color treatments that complement individual skin tones. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients, understand their needs, and provide personalized recommendations. Ability to perform sanitation procedures diligently while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for clients. Prior store management or supervisory experience is a plus for those interested in career growth within the salon environment.
