Assigning duties, such as tilling soil, planting, irrigating, storing crops, and maintaining machines, and assigning fields or rows to workers. Assisting in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Preparing plans and schedules for planting and harvesting and ensuring staff understands expectations. Issuing farm implements and machinery, ladders, or containers to workers and collecting them at the end of the workday. Providing agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting. Ensuring seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other supplies are regularly restocked. Driving and operating farm machinery, such as trucks, tractors, or self-propelled harvesters, to transport workers or cultivate and harvest fields. Providing agricultural livestock services such as artificial insemination, spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry houses. Requirements Bachelors degree in agriculture, animal science, or equivalent. Additional courses in business management or administration are recommended. Team player. Extensive experience in a farming-related field. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Willingness to work overtime as required.
