This role offers a balanced 50/50 split between backend and frontend development, allowing you to contribute across the entire stack.Youll be part of a dynamic product development squad that lives and breathes continuous value delivery. For this role, were seeking candidates located in Canada, available to work within EST/EDT hours.What youll be responsible for:Developing and maintaining our SSeries retail product using React, RubyonRails, NodeJS and PythonCollaborating with product managers, developers and stakeholders as part of a crossfunctional team to deliver features and functionalityWriting code that is clean, tested, maintainable, and efficientExtending your own skills by learning from and growing with the teamSupporting and mentoring junior engineers on the teamContributing to the development of innovative technical solutions to solve problems for our customersHelping us all celebrate our achievements and have fun together along the way!What youll be bringing to the team:Strong proficiency in React or a similar frontend technologyExperience developing for the backend in at least one of Ruby, Python, NodeJSExperience developing and shipping productiongrade softwareA strong sense of ownership for your featuresAbility to analyse production environments, incidents and performance characteristicsPassion for learning new things and a desire to continuously improveProven track record of delivering highquality software projects on timeEven better if you have handson experience with (but not necessary):Experience with relational (SQL) databasesFamiliarity with cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or AzureExperience working in an Agile development environmentRealtime messaging systems, e.g. KafkaWho you are:You have a strong will to learn, grow and get out of your comfort zoneYou are a problem solver who does not shy away from tackling complexity and critical thinkingYou assess rather than assumeYou have great energy and passion for technologyWe know that people are more than whats on their CV.
