Job Description

Sentinel Dock & Door Solutions is a leading Canadian provider of commercial dock and door services. Established in 2024 byTrivest Partners, Sentinel was formed through the acquisition of top regional service providers: Lenworth Building Services, Pro Door & Dock Systems, Mar-Lin Dock & Door, Door Doctor, and Secord Doors. Together, we specialize in the installation, repair, and maintenance of overhead doors, dock levelers, and related equipment for commercial and industrial facilities. Our partners at Door Doctor located in Brampton are looking for their next Purchasing & Materials Coordinator. This individual would beresponsible for managing procurement, intercompany sales transactions, and staging materials to support service, repair, and installation operations. This role is critical to ensuring technicians have the correct materials, on time, and that intercompany transactions are accurate, timely, and aligned with company policies. This position works closely with operations, technicians, suppliers, and sister companies to maintain efficiency, cost control, and operational readiness. Key Responsibilities: Purchasing & Inventory Control Source and purchase materials, parts, and equipment required for service, repair, and installation work Maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers and ensure competitive pricing Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure on-time arrival Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as required to avoid shortages or overstock Verify received materials against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies Intercompany Sales & Transactions Process intercompany material sales in accordance with company pricing and markup policies Coordinate material transfers between Door Doctor and affiliated companies Ensure all intercompany transactions are properly documented, invoiced, and tracked Work with accounting and operations to ensure accurate billing and cost allocation Material Staging & Job Readiness Stage materials for upcoming service calls, installations, and projects Ensure materials are labeled, organized, and ready for technician pickup Coordinate with dispatch and operations to align materials with scheduled work Maintain a clean, organized staging and storage area Operational Support Communicate material availability and lead times to operations and management Support technicians by ensuring correct parts are available for their jobs Assist with continuous improvement of purchasing, inventory, and staging processes Follow company safety policies and maintain a safe warehouse environment What we''re looking for: 3+ years experience in purchasing, inventory control, warehouse coordination, or a similar role Experience in construction, service, or industrial environments preferred (overhead doors, dock equipment, or related trades an asset) Strong organizational and time-management skills Comfortable working with ERP or service management systems (experience with Novoconn an asset) Strong communication skills and attention to detail Skills & Competencies Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills Cost-conscious mindset with attention to accuracy Team-oriented with the ability to work independently Basic computer proficiency (Excel, purchasing systems, email) Forklift operation and valid license Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move materials up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] Ability to work in a warehouse environment and stand for extended periods Annual Salary $60,000 (applicant dependant)
