The Role The School of Skilled Trades Grande Prairie is seeking Heavy Equipment Technician Instructors for the Apprenticeship program. These are full-time sessional, tenure track appointments starting August 15, 2026 to August 14, 2027. Job Requirements The successful candidate will have a Journeyperson/Red Seal certification in the related trade with a preferred minimum of five years experience as a Journeyperson. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include: proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; an entrepreneurial spirit, specifically one who is willing to take a risk to create opportunities; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships across the organization; and a high level of integrity, professionalism and accountability.
