Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of vehicles and machinery. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles and equipment operate safely and efficiently. Candidates with dealership experience and knowledge of heavy equipment are highly preferred. Duties Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and hand tools Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements Repair or replace mechanical components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, and electrical systems Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery as needed Utilize welding, power tools, and other specialized equipment for repairs and assembly tasks Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to accurately troubleshoot problems Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients Qualifications Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or in a similar role; dealership experience is a plus , minimum experience of 6 months is required. Knowledge of automotive repair procedures, electrical systems, HVAC systems, welding, and heavy equipment operation Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and schematics effectively Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely Strong troubleshooting skills with attention to detail Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Certification or training in automotive repair or heavy equipment operation is preferred but not required Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship Pay: From $17.60 per hour Benefits: Dental care On-site parking Work Location: In person
