Introduction: Command Fishing & Pipe Recovery (CFPR) is the largest well intervention open and cased hole (fishing) company in the Western Canadian Sedimentary basin . With four (4) service locations across Western Canada and a sales office in Calgary we supply well intervention expertise and equipment to the Drilling and Service rig industry. Position Overview Based in Bonnyville Alberta and working in the CFPR branch, you are the first call from the drilling or service rig company representative ( our customer) who is having trouble at their wellsite. Our customer requires CFPR expert troubleshooting service and specialized tools in order to solve their problem .You are part of the team that identifies what CFPR tools and field personnel are required. Essential to success is ensuring that the right equipment is delivered on time through effective and efficient logistical coordination of both personnel and equipment to the affected rig operation . On conclusion of the job, you take part in facilitating the return of the equipment to base location and become part of the team that ensures timely and correct billing is completed as well as checking equipment prior to being utilized again. This position is strictly a shop position with both dispatch and hands on shop hand duties required. In return for your three years of hands on/ well rounded drilling or service oil rig industry experience, you will receive a salary between $ 80,000 to $ 100,000 plus a full company benefit plan . based on qualifications and overall oilfield experience. Equivalencies will be considered. Either relocating to Bonnyville or being local to the immediate Bonnyville/ Cold Lake region is a bonafide job requirement as well as the ability to pass pre employment drug and alcohol testing and having a valid operators license in good standing. If you are organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills, along with the oilfield experience required, we would love to hear from you NOTE: Presently, the shift for this position is 10 days on duty followed by 4 days off and the requirement of being on call every second week. On call availability is on a 24/ 7 basis. You will be on days off every second weekend. Subject to review. Duties and Responsibilities Take calls from external oilfield clients (Service and Drilling Rig management personnel) who are experiencing difficulties at rig site with their operation. Troubleshoot on the phone and then provide specialty equipment to be sent to customer rig site in combination with Command personnel in order to solve the issue. Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and clients. Monitor and track the location and status of field resources. Respond to inquiries and requests from clients and staff promptly and professionally. Resolve operational issues and emergencies as they arise, making quick decisions when necessary. Input and update records in the database, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Receive specialty equipment back to location, submit required paperwork that assists in proper billing to the client for services provided. Shop work, processing, servicing and maintaining tools are required as well as other shop duties as needed including shipping receiving and snow removal. Qualifications and Requirements A minimum of 3 years hands on /well rounded oilfield experience in either the drilling or service rig industry . Demonstrated mechanical aptitude A demonstrated commitment to both working safe and participating in the Command Health and Safety program The ability to troubleshoot oilfield issues, ask the right questions , i.e. size of hole, type of casing, depth of well etc. Bonafide job requirements include the ability to pass both pre employment drug/ alcohol and physical demands testing. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Valid operators license in good standing Demonstrated strong mechanical skills / abilities and aptitude with the capability to learn how to assemble and dis assemble specialty oilfield equipment. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, informally supervise shop hands after hours and work alone when needed. Demonstrated computer skills with the ability to navigate internal company systems and Microsoft programs. Strong logistical and planning skills with the ability to plan ahead next steps. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with clients and Command personnel. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Flexible availability required including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Valid forklift and overhead crane certifications are considered valuable assets. The ability to successfully complete numerous internal training courses upon hire. Lines of Communication- The Well Intervention fishing Tools co-ordinator will report directly to the Location Manager .
