Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The Pet Groomer plays a vital role in creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners, contributing to the overall reputation of our grooming salon. Duties Bathing, drying, and brushing pets to prepare them for grooming Trimming fur, nails, and haircuts according to breed standards or customer requests Cleaning ears and expressing glands as needed Maintaining a clean and sanitary grooming area Assisting pet owners with questions about grooming procedures and aftercare instructions Handling pets gently and safely during grooming procedures Managing heavy lifting when handling larger or heavier animals Ensuring all grooming tools are properly sanitized after each use Providing excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and scheduling appointments Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with animals of all temperaments Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy pets Attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming standards are met Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety protocols Basic knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques Willingness to learn new grooming techniques and stay updated on industry best practices This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in pet grooming within a supportive team environment.
