Immediate Opportunity Location: Community/Client Homes Employment Type: Casual, Part-Time, or Full-Time (as needed) Hourly Wage: Ontario Minimum Wage (as in effect at time of hire), with potential adjustments based on client care requirements and assignment complexity About the Role As a Personal Support Worker (PSW), you provide compassionate, respectful, and reliable in-home support to seniors, helping them remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. This role focuses on personal care, companionship, and household assistance delivered with dignity and professionalism. What You''ll Do Provide companionship and meaningful conversation Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and mobility support Support safe ambulation and transfers as required Prepare meals and assist with light household tasks Provide medication and appointment reminders in accordance with care plans Accompany clients on walks or to appointments when required Observe and report changes in a client''s condition or needs Communicate regularly with supervisors and office staff Accurately report hours worked and tasks completed This role provides non-medical, supportive care in home and community settings. What We''re Looking For PSW certificate, caregiver training, or equivalent experience Experience supporting seniors or individuals with chronic or cognitive conditions is an asset Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) prior to hire Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to care Ability to work flexible schedules based on client needs Physical & Work Requirements Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and reach Ability to work in a variety of home environments Commitment to treating clients and their homes with dignity and respect Transportation Ability to travel to client locations using personal transportation or public transit Some assignments may involve accompanying clients for errands or appointments Accessibility & Accommodation We are committed to an inclusive and accessible recruitment process in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
