The Holiday Inn Express and Suites Calgary University is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Front Office Sales & Catering Coordinator who is extremely dedicated to their job. We are looking for a hospitality graduate, who is interested in a career in Sales and Marketing. Responsible for all administration duties for the Sales and Catering office including group and corporate bookings as well as offering administrative support to the front desk and other hotel departments. Duties and Responsibilities: Preparing and distributing Sales and Catering contracts including meeting room set up diagrams and catering orders to all Dept heads Follow up to clients for past meeting, corporate and group events Preparing corporate rate agreement contracts, memos, weekly reports Producing & distributing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to management on duties being performed as well as updates for sales and meeting revenue Weekly offsite sales visits and cold calling to clients as well as offsite visits in search for potential clients Responsible for keeping up to date/fresh marketing on hotels website as well as social media and OTA sites Daily/weekly Inventory balancing of hotel inventory and group inventory Completing hotel RFP''s and insuring rate loading is set up Performing other job-related duties or services as requested by Ownership, General Manager, Catering Manager or other department heads. Qualifications: Successful applicant must be an aggressive self-starter with excellent organization, presentation, and customer service and communication skills Must be detail orientated with strong organizational skills, and communications skills Post-Secondary Education or Hospitality Certificate preferred 1-year experience in hotel Sales and Catering Dept is an asset, with background in hotel operations. Strong literacy skills both verbal and written Strong Computer skills (Opera PMS, Excel, Word, Internet, E-mail, Social media sites Etc.) Must have a valid driver''s license and own vehicle to perform offsite visits Experience: Sales and Catering: 1 year (Required) Opera PMS system: 1 year (Preferred) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour Work Location: In person
