Welcome to the Travelodge by Wyndham Hotel & Resorts in Nanaimo We are a growing group of passionate hotel team based on Vancouver Island, B.C. We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic professionals with an interest in hospitality to join our Hotel Night Auditor (Front Desk) team. As a Night Auditor/ Front Desk Agent, you understand the importance of being responsible for the Nightly and day to day operations of the hotel. This is such as performing night audits and basic front office related duties. This important position could be your opportunity to a career in the hospitality field Duties & Responsibilities: Greet and check all guest that comes in, by being friendly, professional and helpful to guests. Must able to complete night audit in a timely manner. Ensure the current day''s revenue balances are reconciled, the payments to the guest ledger are processed, and the accounts receivables are balanced. Respond to emergency situations in absence of the Manager. Balance and verify the summary of daily transactions in the hotel and ensure that the hotel''s computer systems are readied for the next day. Verify room revenue and the applicable taxes have been recorded and prepare for checkout bills. Coordinate housekeeping assignments. Completion of daily In-house Management Reports as per request. Perform security and maintenance checks of building. Good telephone etiquette, answering all calls in a timely and professional manner as well as following up with call requests. Must prioritize answering phone reservations first, and then help guests with service inquiries. Other duties as assigned by the Manager. Additional Skills and Requirement: Able to stay focused and energetic during the overnight shift from 11pm to 7am. Required to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Follow all Policies and Procedures. Must be self-motivated and is analytical. Passionate about Hospitality. Excellent social and communication skills (Verbal and written). Must be able to work both independently, and as a team. Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks. Post-secondary education, and background in hospitality is preferred.
