Staff Accountant / Accounting Technician Kapoor Professional Corporation, CPA | South Edmonton Full-Time | Immediate Start About the Role Kapoor Professional Corporation, a growing CPA firm in South Edmonton, is seeking a high-energy Staff Accountant to join our team. We are looking for a candidate who combines technical accounting knowledge with exceptional data entry speed and accuracy to help manage our increasing client volume. Key Responsibilities: Tax & Compliance: Prepare and file Personal Tax (T1s), T4/T5 and WCB returns. High-Volume Bookkeeping: Perform efficient full-cycle bookkeeping (AP/AR, bank/credit card reconciliations) with a focus on quick and accurate data processing. Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements; analyze account information to ensure accurate month-to-month and year-end reporting.1 GST Filing: Prepare and file GST returns (monthly, quarterly, and annually). Administrative Support: Maintain digital and physical filing systems and provide professional client support via phone. Required Skills & Qualifications: Software Expertise: Mandatory proficiency in Profile Tax Software, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Online. Data Entry Skills: Fast and accurate data entry (alpha and numeric); ability to process high volumes of information without compromising quality. Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation. Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of payroll processing, T-slips, and WCB reporting. Microsoft Office: Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Outlook. Communication: Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills. Work Environment: Located in South Edmonton.
