Yappy Hour Dog Grooming is looking to hire a bather/grooming assistant. This role is responsible for bathing, drying and basic grooming for dogs; also maintaining a clean organized salon. Key Responsibilities Bathing and drying dogs, brushing and combing coat thoroughly Nail Trimming: Using nail clippers & Dremel Ear Cleaning: Clean dogs ears & plucking if necessary. Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the bathing area and equipment clean and organized, ensuring a safe environment for both dogs and staff. Workspace Maintenance: This involves deep cleaning kennels, washing grooming tools, laundry and keeping store front clean. Customer Interaction: Answering phone, texting, social media. Animal Handling: Safely handle and control dogs of various sizes and breeds during grooming procedures. This includes heavy lifting into bathing tubs and tables. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: Previous experience in a dog industry is preferred but not required. A good understanding of different dog breeds and their grooming needs. Training will be provided. Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with grooming team members. Physical Ability: Capability to lift and handle dogs of various sizes and weights safely. Dog Grooming is a physical job. Attention to Detail & Time Management: Staying on schedule & having a sense of urgency. An eye for detail to see specific breed standards and individual needs.
