Updated: YesterdayLocation: North York, ON, CanadaJob ID:11423The role of the Product Specialist (PS) will be to support the launch a new product across Canada in the insomniamarket. Within their assigned territory the PS will be responsible for bringing about understanding of the role of the product and its data in helping patients with insomnia by calling on GP/FM and specialists (primarilypsychiatry). This role will provide critical oversight on matters related to the project and responsible forbuilding external relationships with recognized experts, KOLs, HCPs, and prioritized stakeholders in the therapeuticarea. The right individual will develop deep product and competitor knowledge, as well as understand local andregional market trends. Assist and coordinate critical activities with physicians and other HCPs through thedrug initiation process, product training, patient support programs and follow-up, where applicable and appropriate.Collaborate and partner with peers in the sales organization, brand team, and other support partners todelivery an extraordinary customer experience.Critical for success will be an individual who owns the business, identifies opportunities, and creates innovativesolutions; someone who advocates for the insomnia patient and the local business needs. The successful candidatewill have a positive mindset, able to overcome barriers, and is a strong team player who elevates the entire team.This person is an early adopter of tools and technology and tailors the right tool to the right target, with theright message at the right time.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESJob Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Develop a comprehensive and effective integrated cross-functional (i.e. sales, medical etc.) territory businessplan aimed at achieving and exceeding annual goals established by commercial leadershipUnderstand how to leverage systems and omni-channel options to apply the full suite of Syneos capabilities topersonalize and engage with customers in both face-to-face and virtual environments enabling excellent customerexperience andcustomers confidence to prescribe medications for appropriate patientsDevelop strong customer relationships and create value for the HCP practice by better understanding the patientjourney and customers needsWithin the organization, being an advocate for insomnia patients and effectively communicating the prioritiesand solutions needed for the organization to invest in.Serve as a resource/consultant to customers and staff regarding access to insomnia therapy, product, andguidelinesCoordinate other learning activities within the territory based on HCP needs and ensuring timely follow-up onattendees to gather feedbackPromote portfolio within approved labeling in a comprehensive, fair, and ethical manner that is consistent withindustry specific and corporate legal and regulatory guidelinesCommunicate territory activity in an accurate and timely manner as directed by managementProvide feedback and collaborate with sales colleagues, commercial leadership, marketing, and other internaldepartments about changing environment and resultsSuccessfully complete all training classesCommunicate territory activity and administrative duties in an accurate and timely manner as directed bymanagementManage efforts within assigned promotional budgetAttend medical congresses and society meetings as neededProficient in both virtual and live customer engagementsMinimal overnight travel as indicated by the needs of the businessAdditional responsibilities as assignedQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSBachelors Degree from an accredited institution required.Preferred degree in Science or Business.Strong ability to identify and understand the patient journey and HCP adoption journeyMinimum 2+ years life science sales experienceExperience in psych / CNS / Sleep Disorders is an assetExperience in sales / education discussions with specialists preferredRecent experience with product launches preferredStrong track record of sales successStrong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skillsAbility to work effectively and collaborate within cross-functional teams, utilizing differentialresources to achieve business goalsStrong drive for superior resultsStrong analytical skillsExperience using omni-channel tools in moving HCP perceptions and attitudesLocal and national travel required for this positionValid Drivers LicenseMust be able to perform all responsibilities of the positionMust live within territory or within territory boundaries.At Syneos Health, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace.
