If you are outgoing, friendly and love adventure and the outdoors, you may be the person we are looking for Position Summary:The Nordic Supervisor plays a key leadership role in the day-to-day operations of the Nordic Centre. This position supports the Recreation Managers by overseeing daily staffing, coordinating lessons, events, and school groups, managing supplies, and ensuring smooth guest experiences at the Nordic Centre. You''ll be hands-on, visible, and actively involved. Duties & Responsibilities: Operations & Leadership: Oversee daily Nordic Centre operations and act as the on-site lead during scheduled shifts. Support Recreation Managers with day-to-day decision-making and operational flow. Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, coaching, and support as needed. Ensure policies, procedures, and safety standards are consistently followed. Daily sweeps of all trails to ensure proper signage and maintenance Scheduling & Staffing: Assist with staff scheduling and coverage, including managing sick calls and shift adjustments. Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all times. Serve as a point of contact for Nordic staff during operating hours. Guest Service & Sales Technical services, such as waxing, sharpening, adjustments, and repairs of equipment Assist at the Point of Sale (POS) and rental counter as needed. Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and problem-solving in a professional, calm manner. Support staff in delivering high-quality customer service at all touchpoints. School Groups & Programs Coordinate with the School Groups Team on Nordic school groups. Support on-site logistics during group visits. Inventory & Supplies Monitor, track, and order Nordic Centre supplies and equipment. Ensure rental inventory and operational supplies are organized and stocked. Communicate supply needs to Recreation Managers in a timely manner. Qualifications: Previous experience or supervisory experience (recreation, customer service, or similar environment preferred). Technical experiences with cross-country skiing, considered an asset Strong organizational and time management skill Confident decision maker who can work independently Excellent customer service and communication skills Comfortable working hands-on at POS and in rental operations. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Weekend, holiday, and flexible availability required.
