JAYS CARE RBI SUMMER EDITION SUPERVISOR Jays Care is looking for Supervisors to engage and lead youth (ages 6-13) in creative, fun, and dynamic activities during our Jays Care RBI Summer Edition program. Successful Summer Edition applicants will have experience leading recreational programs and working with children. This position is part of our annual seasonal staffing needs. All interested applicants should be aware that this is an in-person role, employed by Jays Care with a seasonal fixed-term contract. Camp staff are expected to be present at their designated job site each day of their summer contract, as well as attend all mandatory staff training. RBI Summer Edition (July & August) runs distinct from RBI Spring (April to June). Coaches hired for the Jays Care Spring program are eligible and encouraged to apply to work for RBI Summer Edition. REPORTS TO:Jays Care RBI Summer Edition Site Manager CONTRACT DURATION: March 1, 2026 August 21, 2026 5-10 hours/month (March to May) 24-40 hours/week (June) 35-45 hours/week (July to August) SALARY: The anticipated base compensation for this role is $23.00 per hour. POSITION STATUS:New WORK LOCATIONS:Assigned to one of 8 schools within the TDSB (Toronto District School Board) (applicant will have opportunity to indicate location preference). Jays Care RBI Summer Edition Supervisor Serve as section leader, overseeing approximately 80 youth participants within a larger program site of up to 280 youth Supervise and support a team of up to 18 frontline camp staff, Connect with participant families for updates about day-to-day programming and addressing any behavioural needs or challenges Serve as a role model and mentor, offering leadership, problem solving strategies, and guidance to both staff and youth Participate in sports and active play programming, encouraging camper engagement Participate in a dynamic training to gain all the tools needed to lead a positive and safe program environment Ensure that effective safety protocols are followed, including physical, emotional, and site safety measures Address any behaviour concerns at once using Jays Care RBI Summer Edition behaviour management protocolsand guidelines Our Ideal Candidate: Demonstrated prior leadership experience in a youth-centred environment (sports teams, camps, schools, clubs) Is mature, dependable, and capable of working independently while leading a team Demonstrates a dynamic and engaging leadership style, able to connect with staff, youth and families Ability to respond to new and changing situations is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for campers and staff Open-minded and able to accommodate the diverse needs of youth from various backgrounds and communities Capable of leading small and large teams, fostering collaboration and accountability Track record of maintaining structure and routine, while remaining flexible to site needs Applicant is 18+ by the beginning of the contract At Jays Care Foundation: We boast a warm, welcoming and supportive team culture We offer a wide variety of opportunities to develop your leadership potential and grow your resume with new skills and experiences You will have opportunities to win monetary scholarships for college/university and staff recognition awards/prizes (with great Blue Jays swag) Work alongside friendly and inspiring young leaders from your community and beyond At Jays Care, you''ll be part of a passionate team committed to growing the game of baseball while helping kids develop life skills that last a lifetime.
