This role owns the accuracy, flow, and integrity of all plant-level inventory and plays a critical role in ensuring production runs smoothly and financial reporting remains precise. This is a highimpact role that sits at the intersection of operations, production, and finance, ideal for someone who thrives in a handson environment and can shape inventory processes in a scaling facility. This role is based in Tisdale, SK. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily inventory activity across receiving, storage, production, and shipping. Manage cycle counts, reconcile variances, and maintain realtime visibility into plant inventory. Ensure all materials and finished goods are labelled, stored, and handled correctly. Keep production supplied with accurate stock to prevent downtime. Lead cycle counts, spot checks, and the annual physical inventory. Investigate discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and drive rootcause analysis. Maintain accurate ERP/MRP records and ensure transactions are captured correctly. Partner with the Controller on reporting, valuation, monthend close, and audit compliance. Coach plant and warehouse staff on proper inventory and materialshandling processes. Work closely with production to align material availability with schedules. Collaborate with shipping/receiving to streamline flow and reduce bottlenecks. Identify weaknesses in inventory flow, storage, and data accuracy. Recommend layout changes, process updates, and system improvements. Use data from ERP/MRP reporting to drive decisionmaking and enhance inventory performance. Qualifications 35+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management within a manufacturing environment. Strong handson experience with ERP/MRP systems and Excel. Demonstrated experience conducting cycle counts, physical inventories, and variance resolution. Ability to operate materialhandling equipment (forklift certification an asset). Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach others and influence process adoption. Detailoriented, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fastpaced plant setting. Financial acumen and understanding of how inventory accuracy links to reporting and cost control.
