Field Supervisor, Industrial Services GFL Environmental Inc. GFL Environmental is looking for a full-time Industrial Services Supervisor to help support our liquids operations in Timmins, ON. The Supervisor will handle all aspects of day-to-day operations, utilizing effective communication skills and time management to prioritize and optimize daily production. They will lead and manage a crew with varying competencies and skill sets, adhere to company policies and procedures, and maintain all required documentation. Key Responsibilities Conduct pre-shift tailgates Abide by rules and requirements while on customers or GFL property Complete all necessary paperwork, e.g., shift logs, site service reports, job tasks: observations, site audits, etc. Manage and maintain various data management systems Daily equipment checks Complete supervisor inspections as required (daily/weekly/monthly) Maintain P.P.E inventory Provide coaching and training to other workers Coordinate with other supervisors and management to clarify job demands and requirements Mitigate employee complaints and concerns Attend meetings and training as required Oversee employees to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and maintain a safe environment Ensure safety compliance with all safety & regulatory requirements Participate in development of SOPs, job procedures, and investigations as required Ensure all signoff sheets and memos are reviewed with assigned employees Shift work is a requirement: day shift/night shift (12hour shifts) Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies Experience and strong knowledge of tractor trailers, vacuum trucks, tankers, and rolloff trucks Demonstrates a safe operating record Demonstrates competence handling all aspects of day-to-day operations Demonstrates effective communication skills to delegate daily assigned duties Two (2) years minimum in the industrial service industry with progressive responsibilities is considered a strong asset Seniority Level MidSenior level Employment Type Fulltime Job Function Engineering and Information Technology We thank you for your interest.
