This position is for a Community Support Worker / Administration, for a young man, 31 years of age with Autism. This position will be Tuesday to Friday, 8 hour days. Diploma in Social Work and/or experience working with adults that have a developmental disability in a community-based environment. A strong philosophy of supporting people that will promote the concepts of community inclusion along with personal growth. Education, experience, and a background to reflect an ability to understand behavior and teach accordingly. Leadership qualities - communication skills and interpersonal skills, trustworthiness, ability to motivate staff to reach their potential, organizational skills, report writing and a consistent team player. Skilled in Microsoft Office with strength in Excel and Word. Healthy meal planning. Must partake in attending the gym, swimming, biking and other athletic avenues. Adults'' faith is a Christian so will be supporting him with devotions Assist with individuals work life which is currently shovelling snow and summer mowing lawns. Program can provide flexibility if available. A valid driver''s license and a safe operating vehicle is required. First Aid & CPR Level C, Criminal Record Check and Business Insurance for vehicle is mandatory. (Training provided for First Aid). Please provide 2 work references AND 2 personal references. (MUST BE PROVIDED) Wage $27 to $30 pending experience.
