Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mechanic Assistant to support our automotive repair team. Duties Assist mechanics with vehicle repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance tasks Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs and assembly work Follow schematics and technical manuals to aid in vehicle troubleshooting and repairs Conduct heavy lifting of vehicle parts and equipment safely and efficiently Support routine maintenance activities on dealership vehicles and equipment Help with the disassembly and reassembly of automotive components during repair processes Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients when necessary Assist in the preparation of vehicles for inspection or delivery Qualifications Prior dealership experience or automotive repair background is preferred Knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and assembly processes Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic maintenance procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more) Strong mechanical knowledge with a willingness to learn new skills on the job Experience with automotive repair or mechanic experience is highly desirable Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients when needed Ability to follow detailed instructions and technical schematics accurately Basic understanding of welding techniques is a plus This position offers valuable experience in the automotive industry, providing a stepping stone for those interested in advancing their mechanic careers.
