**Job Title: Systems Administrator / Operations Support Specialist - Intermediate Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite) Duration: 8 Months (Possible Extension) Client: Public Sector (Preferred) Pay Rate: C$45-C$55/hr Role Overview** The Systems Administrator / Operations Support Specialist provides operational and project support for enterprise IT infrastructure environments, including data centre operations and cloud identity platforms. The role involves day-to-day systems administration, user access management, system maintenance, and participation in troubleshooting activities within a large, ITIL-based organization. The work is performed onsite from an office location, using secure remote access to supported systems. The position may involve access to sensitive systems, information, and technical procedures. Key Responsibilities Provide systems administration and operations support, including: User access provisioning and user profile management Backup, recovery, and routine system maintenance Daily monitoring and support of computer systems Perform software upgrades, apply patches, and implement approved system changes Monitor system performance and workload trends; make adjustments to ensure optimal utilization of computing resources Install, configure, support, and maintain server, network, and infrastructure components Coordinate with technical teams to support integrated and distributed systems Act as a point of contact for operational support and service requests Participate in structured troubleshooting and incident resolution activities within an ITIL framework Required Skills & Experience (Must-Have) Knowledge of Enterprise Active Directory and related technologies Experience with Active Directory migrations Experience working in a large ITIL-based organization Hands-on troubleshooting experience in enterprise environments Experience supporting SWAT or escalation-based technical support teams Technical Skills & General Qualifications Experience setting up user access, user profiles, backup and recovery, and day-to-day systems operations Experience with one or more operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) Experience with one or more hardware platforms Experience with middleware, gateways, and communication protocols Experience with information retrieval or monitoring tools Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines Desirable / Nice-to-Have Skills Experience supporting distributed and networked systems Awareness of emerging IT infrastructure and operations trends Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages Knowledge of accessibility standards and compliance requirements (e.g., AODA) If this opportunity matches your experience and career goals, please share your most updated resume for consideration.
