Heron is entering a new chapter. Located in the Kingsway, the restaurant is evolving toward a Latin American influence with a modern, restrained approach. The focus is on bold flavour, strong technique, and calm, consistent execution. This is an opportunity to step into a kitchen at a moment of change and help shape what comes next. Heron is open Tuesday to Saturday, dinner service. We''re looking for a Head Chef who values structure, flavour, and leadership in equal measure. The role You will: Lead the day to day kitchen operation. Execute and develop a Latin American influenced menu with consistency. Train and manage a small, professional team. Oversee prep, ordering, food cost, and waste control. Work closely with ownership on menus and service standards. Maintain a clean, organised, calm kitchen environment. What we''re looking for Experience as a Head Chef or a strong Sous Chef ready to step up. A solid understanding of Latin American flavours and techniques. Clear systems and attention to detail. A steady leadership style that sets expectations and follows through. Pride in food quality, plating, and timing. The ability to refine and simplify without cutting corners.
