Position Overview The Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of mechanical projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and to BERC''s quality standards. Working closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, this role plays a key part in driving efficiency, managing risk, and supporting strong client relationships. Responsibilities Enforce stringent compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation to safeguard worker health and safety. Facilitate consistent use of hazard controls and personal protective equipment (PPE) among all personnel. Plan, schedule, and manage HVAC and refrigeration projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Collaborate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Coordinate materials, equipment, and labor, addressing any issues that arise to maintain project flow. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including work orders, job costing, and progress reports. Manage the process for equipment signoffs, including tracking, distribution, and confirmation of delivery. Oversee on-site project progress, ensuring compliance with specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. Liaise with on-site leads for efficient resource planning and address any material or product delays proactively. Uphold BERC''s standards by ensuring all work is completed to quality expectations and by demonstrating those standards in daily actions. Promote a positive, team-focused environment on all sites by leading through example and collaboration, not authority. Conduct monthly audits on BERC''s tools and equipment at project sites and manage comprehensive project documentation. Assess training needs and worker competencies to ensure ongoing safety compliance. Facilitate development sessions and safety meetings to reinforce safe working practices and communicate critical information. Conduct routine site inspections, lead safety investigations, and ensure timely completion of hazard assessments and toolbox meetings. Participate in preparation and delivery of project presentations, reports, and communications. Evaluate established project processes, recommending and implementing improvements to align with best practices and promoting client satisfaction. Provide after-hours on-call support on a rotational basis, responding to urgent issues or service needs to ensure minimal disruption to operations. Other duties as required. Qualifications Completion of a relevant trade certification, technical diploma, or related professional designation. Certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) is considered an asset. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-specific software applications. Ability to oversee projects from initiation through to field execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Proficient in project management software, job costing, and document control. Strong understanding of health and safety standards alongside excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Effective communication and leadership skills to coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and field crews. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changes and resolve issues on-site. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Possess a valid driver''s license and clean driver''s abstract, with a willingness to travel to various construction and client sites as needed.
