Overview We are seeking a friendly and attentive Fuel Pump Attendant to join our team at our retail location. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist customers with fueling and transactions, and maintain a clean and organized station. This role offers an opportunity to develop retail sales skills in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities that include cashiering, merchandising, and stock management. Bilingual skills and previous experience in retail or grocery stores are a plus, as they enhance customer interactions and sales effectiveness. Duties Operate POS systems efficiently for fuel sales and retail transactions Assist customers with fueling their vehicles, ensuring safety protocols are followed Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods accurately Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and offering product recommendations Upsell additional products such as snacks, beverages, or car accessories to increase sales Maintain cleanliness of the fuel station area, including pumps and surrounding facilities Restock merchandise and supplies on shelves, ensuring proper merchandising standards Conduct product demos when applicable to promote new or featured items Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock items Enforce safety procedures related to fuel handling and store operations Supervise or assist in supervising other team members when needed Experience Previous experience in retail sales, grocery stores, or gas stations is preferred Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving a diverse customer base Experience in upselling, merchandising, stocking, and retail math enhances performance Supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the team Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and transaction accuracy Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills required for positive interactions This position provides an engaging environment where you can develop valuable retail skills while delivering exceptional service to customers.
