Downtown Plumbing & Heating is a family-owned plumbing company proudly serving commercial tenants in downtown Winnipeg. We specialize in service work, new construction, and renovations or expansions. We are currently seeking a Junior Plumbing Estimator to join our team in a long-term role with strong potential for growth. Previous estimating experience is an asset; however, journeyman plumbers with demonstrated aptitude and interest in estimating will be considered and may be trained for the position. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing clients Identify and pursue opportunities to expand our client base within our target market Review and analyze tendering documents with close attention to detail and specifications Prepare accurate takeoffs and bids from blueprints and specification sheets, including: Materials Labour Equipment and operating costs Organize and maintain project binders and digital folders Provide general office and administrative support as required Professionally manage change orders and track resulting cost adjustments Assist with project management duties on smaller projects Qualifications & Requirements: Journeyman Plumber or education/training in one of the following: Building Construction Technology Mechanical Engineering Technology Construction Management Project Management Certification Equivalent experience or training will be considered Experience preference (in order): Minimum 2 years in an estimating role or 5+ years in a plumbing-related field or 5+ years in construction management Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation for site visits and meetings Familiarity with the COR certification process is considered an asset Compensation & Benefits: Wages to be negotiated based on experience Stable, long-term employment Supportive team environment within a family-owned business Opportunity for professional growth and advancement At Downtown Plumbing & Heating, you''ll find a respectful workplace, loyal clients, and a great place to build your career.
