We are seeking a skilled Contract Copywriter to join the copy team for our client''s loyalty program. Reporting to the Manager, Creative Copy & Content, this role requires a writer with a strong understanding of loyalty and rewards programs, as well as experience writing for financial institutions. As the first dedicated copywriter for this loyalty offering, you will have the unique opportunity to help set up guidelines and define the tone of voice for the brand. You will be responsible for crafting compelling, customer-focused copy that drives engagement and builds trust across multiple channels. This is a contract role where hours will flex between 20 to 37.5 hours per week . This position requires the talent to be located in the Greater Toronto Area , as you will be expected to attend a meeting at our client''s office in Toronto once a month. Responsibilities Campaign Execution: Develop clear, engaging, and brand-aligned copy for loyalty campaigns across various channels, including email, web, social, and in-app messaging. Simplification of Concepts: Translate complex financial and loyalty concepts into simple, customer-friendly language that resonates with the target audience. Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to ensure messaging consistency across all customer touchpoints. Brand Voice Development: Play a key role in collaborating on Style & Tone of Voice (TOV) guides, helping to shape the identity of the loyalty program. Optimization: Optimize copy for different audiences while maintaining a consistent and engaging brand voice. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all content adheres to strict legal and regulatory requirements for financial and loyalty communications. Requirements Specialized Experience: Proven experience writing for rewards and loyalty programs is required (a portfolio will be requested). Industry Background: Background in financial services or institutions, with a solid understanding of compliance and regulatory language. Communication Skills: Strong ability to simplify technical or financial jargon into clear, engaging copy. Channel Knowledge: Familiarity with digital marketing channels including Web, Email, and Point of Purchase (POP).
