About the Role My client is building the next generation of online entertainment. They are looking for a Front End Developer with expertise in React Native to lead the evolution of their sports and casino sweepstakes platform. Currently, their mobile apps leverage a WebView-heavy architecture. Your mission is to lead the transition to fully React Native experiences. This role includes significant responsibilities in designing complex systems, advocating for best practices, and ensuring high code quality. As the primary developer for their mobile apps, you won''t just maintain code you''ll architect their mobile future, deciding where and how we use native modules to optimize for speed, gestures, and user delight. Based in their downtown Toronto office, you''ll work at the intersection of product, design, and core engineering, directly shaping the first impressions of every user. Key Responsibilities Lead the architectural transition of our mobile apps by rebuilding existing WebView flows into high-performance, fully native experiences using React Native Develop and maintain new features for our mobile apps, ensuring a ''native-first'' approach to every user interaction Work cross-functionally to ensure accurate tracking (GTM, Firebase, AppsFlyer) and integrate components with RESTful APIs Translate product requirements and high-fidelity designs into clean, functional, and responsive native interfaces Partner with the Lead Product Manager, designers, and engineers to define interface contracts, drive product improvements, and deliver seamless user experiences Manage the end-to-end deployment pipeline, including CodePush, TestFlight, and Google Play staging tracks Implement fluid animations and micro-interactions (using libraries like Reanimated) to ensure the app feels truly native and responsive Write clean, well-documented, and testable code; participate in peer code reviews to ensure stability and quality Skills and Qualifications 4+ years of experience building and deploying production-ready applications Deep understanding of React Native, including mobile navigation patterns (React Navigation) and complex state management Experience with performance profiling (identifying frame drops, memory leaks, and bridge congestion) Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript Proven experience maintaining applications through App Store Connect and Google Play Console Nice to have: Basic understanding of Swift and Kotlin and experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library) Why Join?
