Overview We are a family seeking a caregiver to work with our elderly Italian mom, in her home, in lower Sahali, Kamloops. She requires full- time care and has a sweet personality. We are looking for people who are kind and observant. This is a part time, minimum 3 shifts per week with the possibility of additional shifts. We need reliable kind people. Formal care aid training is a bonus but not necessary. Duties Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for any changes in health status. Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding, and mobility support. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance her mental well-being. Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia care strategies. Communicate effectively with family members and other care workers. Experience Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home care or assisted living is preferred. Familiarity with medication administration protocols is beneficial. Experience working with seniors is highly valued. Knowledge of dementia care techniques is an asset. A background in nursing or healthcare can enhance your qualifications for this role.
