Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to inspire students through engaging music education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching music/instruments, experience working with children, and a genuine enthusiasm for fostering creativity and musical skills. This role involves developing lesson plans, conducting individual and group classes, and creating a positive learning environment that encourages students'' musical growth and confidence. Added advantage for intructor that teaches Piano and drums. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive music lesson plans tailored to various age groups and skill levels Conduct individual and group music lessons, focusing on vocal, instrumental, or theory instruction Assess students'' progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development Prepare students for recitals, performances, or examinations as appropriate Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes creativity, discipline, and enjoyment of music Collaborate with parents, staff, and other educators to support student success Incorporate diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles Maintain organized records of student attendance, progress, and achievements Requirements Proven experience in tutoring or teaching music to children or young learners Strong classroom experience with early childhood education preferred Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively Experience working with children in educational settings is highly desirable Ability to create fun, interactive lessons that inspire a love for music Basic knowledge of classroom activities that integrate creative arts is a plus but not required Passion for music education and fostering student growth in a supportive environment Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 40 per week Benefits: On-site parking Ability to commute/relocate: Oshawa, ON L1H 4G6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Education: Secondary School (preferred) Work Location: In person
