We are currently looking for a talented Manager, Data & Analytics (Decision Sciences) to join our BI Team remotely from Canada, and to be part of our incredible growth journey.About the Role:As Manager, Data & Analytics (Decision Sciences), you will be centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Reporting to the Director, Business Intelligence, your day-to-day will involve performing in-depth quantitative or qualitative analyses on a wide array of data sources. Your findings will address impactful business issues and provide actionable recommendations on how we best optimize our products or services. You will be collaborating with other departments daily, including C-levels and key stakeholders, to identify opportunities that will improve operational efficiency and grow revenue.The ideal candidate will be a skilled long-tenured data analyst and communicator, having recent experience as a Lead in an expansion-stage business. We are looking for someone who can spot opportunities and efficiencies that can be supported by data and has a grounded vision for driving meaningful change. This candidate should be able to own the end-to-end analytics process, seamlessly switching from being heads down in data to presenting actionable insights to a wide audience.Responsibilities:Become the subject matter expert around our sales, call, finance, and marketing dataAnalyze and query raw data using SQL from our data warehouse and databasesUse advanced analytical frameworks and statistical techniques to explore patterns in the data, such as correlation, regression, clustering etc.Design and build rigorous experiments to drive data-informed decisions for our product, marketing, and account teamsDefine, train, and scale machine learning models in partnership with Data Science to deliver predictions and answers to key business questionsBuild dashboards to tell a data story through charts and visualizationsBring insights to life through presentations to key stakeholders and guide them to action via concrete, data-driven recommendationsCollaborate with business department stakeholders to understand information needs and define deliverablesPartner with Engineering to improve data infrastructure and quality, as well as drive data governance and data literacy initiativesBe the voice of the business on a highly collaborative, high performing analytics team, provide mentorship to other junior analystsRequirements and Skills:Degree in a quantitative field such as analytics, data science, statistics, economics, applied math, operations research or engineering (advanced degrees preferred)7-10 years working in a cross-functional analytics/data science roleStrong analytical skills and mindset, able to clearly explain your methodology to a non-technical audienceHave a business first approach; you care about the business impact of your technical work.Proficiency with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau (preference given to prior experience with Qlik)Proven history leveraging econometric, data mining, and statistical techniques in business settings to deliver insights. Prior experience designing, launching, or working with production data science and machine learning models is a huge plusExpert SQL (Redshift, PostgreSQL) skills.
